Correction!

Hi again!

A big thank you to Mrs. Haliski, for noticing that that Willamette parent night for incoming freshman is this Wednesday, not this Thursday as I put in my post.  Tomorrow, Tuesday, is still the trip to the high school during the day.  Please make sure to put the Wednesday date on your calendar if it isn’t already there.

Thanks!

Going to Willamette tomorrow

The 8th grade will be going to Willamette High School tomorrow from 9:30-11:30. On this annual field trip we tour the school, talk to administration, talk to the school counselors and get information from our senior guides. It is a fun morning and it really starts getting students thinking about high school. All students will attend the trip, even if they might attend a different high school. Looking forward to tomorrow!

The 8th grade parent night at WHS is this Thursday. Wednesday.

Cleaning up

I have been cleaning up from our recent snow storm.  Some big pine trees finally fell over into my fence and a neighbor cut them down with a chainsaw and next week a friend is going to come and fix the fence.  There was a lot of tree damage around my house but so far it looks like my house has escaped damage.

In art class I have taken some class time each day to read out loud from the book The Hunger Games.  Students generally have enjoyed it, and I’m excited to report that Etzel is taking me to see the movie at midnight tonight!  I might even see some of you there, who knows!

Hope everyone has enjoyed the snow and that you have a great Spring Break!

I have been working on science planning this afternoon as the pugs and I watch the snow. Happy snow day!

Solar car training

Today I was at a workshop funded by EWEB that gives local teachers the information and supplies to build solar and electric cars. Soon after spring break we will start with the electric cars and then finish out the year with solar cars. Thank you EWEB!

It’s all the masks lined up and drying. Next we will sand and paint them.

We are making plaster masks in art class today. It is messy and fun!
